Carlos's story
Carlos and his father had an argumentative and volatile relationship. Having run away from home during his senior year, Carlos, age 19, was sleeping at friends' houses. He was referred to our transitional living program where he found stable housing with Phil & Tammy.
Over the next 8 months, Carlos finished his GED, learned to bus tables at a local restaurant and began anger management counseling with his father. Phil & Tammy could see that Carlos was bright, and gladly helped him apply for community college courses and student housing.

Words from our Foster Parents
It feels good to improve the life of another human being.
The biggest reward is knowing that I've provided these kids a time & place of safety, peace, and unconditional love that might help them take their next step.
