Oregon Foundations Training

We offer free quarterly foundations training for all families pursuing the adoption of a child or children from foster care. Registration to attend the training is required. Space is limited with most trainings filling up at least two months in advance. If these dates not work for your schedule or are full, the Oregon Department of Human Services lists other organizations who provide Foundations Trainings. Questions about Oregon Foundations Trainings? Attachment in Adoption

Building attachment with our current or future child is essential to stabilizing the family in the short or long-term. Successful parents benefit from understanding how the attachment dynamic functions in all relationships; especially the one they have with their children.

We hold Attachment in Adoption trainings that review Attachment Theory and how it can help your family. In the training, we'll discuss adult attachments, build concrete skills in developing attachments for children in foster care and help participants view behaviors through an attachment lens. Training delivered by Leah Brookner, MSW, MA, ABD.
