Focusing on the future of child welfare
Our Board of Directors, Ambassador Board and Senior Leadership
A message from the President & CEO
Hello friends and supporters,
It is with deep appreciation and heartfelt dedication that I lead Boys & Girls Aid in its mission to help young people find loving families, relational permanency, and stable housing. Our staff, foster families, board members, volunteers, donors, and stakeholders are compassionate champions of youth, and I am grateful to partner with them in creating a successful future for the agency and its clients. It is truly an honor to be part of such a unique and wonderful organization.
During my years at Boys & Girls Aid, the agency has experienced considerable change, growth, challenges, and successes. Throughout these times, our reason for being—to serve Oregon’s vulnerable youth and young adults—has never faltered. I am immensely proud to cultivate our purpose in both new and existing ways as the agency continues to evolve. Together, we will continue Boys & Girls Aid’s core purpose of building permanent connections for the children and youth we serve!
With appreciation,
Andrea Logan Sanders
President & CEO
Boys & Girls Aid
Executive Leadership
Andrea Logan Sanders, MS
President & CEODuring her 20 years with Boys & Girls Aid, Andrea took on progressively crucial leadership roles before being appointed President & CEO in 2024. She has been instrumental in leading, shaping and acquiring funding for agency programming, particularly in the areas of shelter, foster care and permanent housing. Andrea approaches her work with a passion for advocating for young people and their families to establish permanent, healthy relationships and stable housing. As part of her community involvement and advocacy for youth, Andrea has been a long-time member of several Washington County advocacy and implementation committees.
Elizabeth Stockon
Chief Operating Officer
Elizabeth has worked with children in need of permanency and families with a desire to provide permanency since 1999. She is grateful to have spent the last 20 years working for Boys & Girls Aid, an agency that truly strives to understand and support clients' needs. Her own experience as an adoptee led her to decide at an early age to pursue a career in child welfare. She believes strongly that youth need connections with supportive adults and that these supportive adults need assistance as well. This has been central in her career, as well as her volunteer work in which she established and led the first Foster Parent Night Out program in Clackamas County.
Angie Fenske
Chief Advancement Officer
After serving on Boys & Girls Aid’s Board of Ambassadors for more than four years in a volunteer capacity, Angie made the formal transition into the not-for-profit space and officially joined Boys & Girls Aid as a member of the advancement team in 2023. Angie leads the agency’s fundraising and marketing efforts in support of the agency’s mission to ensure every child grows up in a family of their own. In her role, Angie is responsible for securing financial and in-kind charitable support for the agency through individual and corporate donors, foundations, and volunteers, as well as providing overall direction regarding brand and communication activities.
Tim Frew, MS
Vice President of Finance & CFO
Tim started at Boys & Girls Aid in 2017 as Controller, overseeing the Finance and Facilities departments. In 2019, he joined the Executive Leadership Team as Vice President of Finance and CFO. Tim views the finance department as essential support for those who do the most important work at Boys & Girls Aid—the Youth Care Counselors, Case Managers, Program Coordinators and Program Directors who are dedicated to helping youth in need.
Karen Pomerantz, MSW
Vice President of Impact, Learning, & Compliance
Karen has over 20 years of social work experience in youth programs, advocacy, project management and program development. Since 2012, she has supported quality assurance initiatives, evaluation efforts, and staff training services at Boys & Girls Aid. She is inspired by the talented and committed Boys & Girls Aid staff who work children, youth, and families, and feels proud to work at an agency that prioritizes implementation of best practices and staff development.
