Child Specific Recruitment
We Find Families
Boys & Girls Aid’s Child Specific Recruitment Program partners directly with caseworkers to find permanent, loving families for children with higher needs in the foster care system, including sibling groups and medically fragile children.
Small caseloads allow our team to work one-on-one with children and youth, helping them build the skills needed to form lasting, lifelong connections with trusted adults. At the same time, we explore each child’s existing network of relationships to identify permanent families prepared to meet their needs.
How We Can Help
Our work is grounded in close collaboration with caseworkers, with regular communication and coordination throughout the recruitment and permanency process.
This partnership allows our team to deliver targeted, individualized supports that move children toward safe, stable, and lasting permanency, while remaining aligned with each child’s case plan and permanency goals.
Our recruiters work one-on-one with each child to assess readiness for permanency and identify areas where additional support may be needed.
Using Darla Henry’s 3-5-7 Model™ and Life Story work, we help youth understand their story and build the skills needed for permanency.
