Crisis Prevention Institute: Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training for Oregon Alliance Members

Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training is perfect for primary caregivers, educators and human service professionals who directly intervene in crisis situations, teaching staff de-escalation techniques as well as restrictive and nonrestrictive interventions. Please note that this offering is available only for Oregon Alliance menbers.

Benefits of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training

Recognize & Respond to Crisis

Your staff learns decision-making skills to match the level of the response to the risk of the crisis, focusing on the least-restrictive response to ensure the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security℠ of those in your care. This includes recognizing the stages of an escalating crisis and learning evidence-based techniques to appropriately de-escalate.

Evidence-Based & Fully Accredited

Your staff can earn Continuing Education Credits while practicing strategies that are based on the latest evidence on brain and behavior. A rigorous bi-annual research review ensures that our restrictive interventions meet best-practice international standards.

NVCI courses through Boys & Girls Aid do not include holding skills.

Training cost per-person is $225 which includes lunch and training materials. All participants who successfully complete training receive a 2-year certification in CPI: NVCI.

CPI: Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training through Boys & Girls Aid is only open to staff and foster parents of Oregon Alliance Membership Organizations. Please confirm your organization is a member of the Oregon Alliance prior to registration.
